WHITE PLAINS, NY, February 12, 2010…Pedro Mandoki, CHA, owner and president of N.P. Hotel Group, Inc. and Mandoki Hospitality (Gulf Shores, AL), has been appointed chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2010 International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show® (IH/M&RS). A former chairman of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) and 40-year hotel and resort industry veteran, Mandoki will lead efforts for the 95^th annual IH/M&RS, taking place November 13-16, 2010, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. In addition, Turf Hotels President Michael C. Hoffman has been appointed to the nine-member Board of Directors. 

            Formerly the president of Plantation Resort Management (PRM), which he started in 1985, Mandoki was responsible for the company’s overall operations. He was the sole owner of PRM until September 1998 when it merged with ResortQuest International, Inc. Over the course of his 40-year career, Mandoki has held positions at various hotel properties and management companies, including Royal Orleans Hotel, Mayflower Hotel, Callaway Gardens, and the Miracle Mile Resort. He is currently owner and president of N.P. Development LLC, a hotel/resort management and consulting company, as well as other companies under the umbrella of Mandoki Hospitality Group. 

            In addition to his service as AH&LA chairman, Mandoki also was the 2007 chairperson of the Fund Development Committee of the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AH&LEF). He has been recognized for his dedication and service to the industry with many prestigious awards, including the Thomas Carvel Immigrant Entrepreneur Award by the National Immigration Forum, 2004 Resort Executive of the Year by Resort Management Conference, and Hotelier of the Year by the Florida Hotel & Motel Association.

            The newest addition to the IH/M&RS Board, Michael Hoffman is the president of Turf Hotels, an Albany, NY-based hotel management company with four award-winning upstate New York properties – The Holiday Inn Resort/Lake George, the Holiday Inn Express/Western Avenue, the Homewood Suites Hotel/Wolf Road, and the Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel/Saratoga Springs. In addition to operating these hotels, Hoffman volunteers his time to several industry-specific organizations. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association (NYSH&TA), and is a past Chairman of the International Association of Holiday Inns.

The 95^th annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show will run Saturday, November 13, through Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Following a full-day of conference and networking activities on Saturday, November 13, the IH/M&RS will feature three full days of exhibits from Sunday, November 14, through Tuesday, November 16. The market presents some 700 hospitality industry suppliers and attracts 30,000 in total trade attendance.
