Peachtree City, GA, July 21, 2014 Hoshizaki America, Inc. was recognized for excellence in product design in the 11th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. An independent panel of contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 92 entries. The company’s IM-500SAA, Stackable Square Cuber was the Bronze Award Winner in the Refrigeration & Ice Machines.

New Color Concepts is a Winner with Food Service and Catering Industries.

Eastern’s sophisticated and patented, anti-microbial, powder coating process utilizes a color penetration system to apply a decorative finish on surfaces that include stainless steel, aluminum or glass.

Brooklyn, NY – Eastern Tabletop Manufacturing has recently introduced Color Concepts - a textured and decorative finish to hollowware and buffetware. It was launched at the recent NRA show where it has attracted many attendees, captivated industry interest and is in exceptionally high demand.

Eastern’s Color Concepts can accurately design and apply powder coat materials to resemble authentic marble, deco wood, tree bark, stone, and many faux finishes, resulting in any decorative motif you can imagine.  If you can imagine it, we can create a decorative coating or a custom wood look on any hollowware or buffetware. Team colors, brand logos, stripes or sand, something psychedelic from the sixties - we can make it happen.

All our foodservice products are pre-treated, and then the combination of heat and pressure is what forces the color directly into the layers of the powder-coated substrate, embedding the design directly into the powder coat.  It can’t come off, chip off, or peel off.  The only way to remove the design is to remove the powder coat itself, which normally requires tremendous temperatures in excess of 400 degrees F.


Our process constantly undergoes and has passed many safety tests on samples and thus we can assure the best quality level and grant our color penetration process control and guarantee.

Green Key Meeting Launches v2.0

Green Key Global (GKG), in partnership with MPI Foundation, announces the release of version 2.0 of the Green Key Meetings Program, a comprehensive environmental assessment tool and third party audit for facilities, both lodging and non-lodging, that host meetings of any scale. Developed with the assistance of senior meeting planner professionals, the Program has been updated to ensure incorporation of current meeting practice elements as well as to complement the well-known APEX/ASTM Green Meetings Standards.

Green Key Meetings is a comprehensive assessment evaluating participants in six key areas of sustainable performance and management: Core Areas (energy, water, waste); Communication (information, training, policies & management); Activities (community, procurement, auditing); Exhibitions; and Audiovisual & Production. The program, as with its predecessor, is also designed to accommodate limited-service facilities enabling them to opt out of areas that do not apply to their facility. Upon completion, the facility is awarded a ranking of 1 to 5 Keys and provided with a thorough performance report that includes recommendations, best practices and potential areas for improvement and savings.
