Thinking of bringing Spot to the Big Apple? Guests at the Soho Grand Hotel — a dog-friendly hotel if there ever was one — now have a couple of new amenities for their furry companions. A dedicated dog run opened its gates — complete with fire hydrant water stations, bespoke benches, and design by gardener-to-the-stars Rebecca Cole.

Historic Houston property gets $81 million hotel redo
A new JW Marriott will open at 806 Main in Houston next spring, the developer and city officials announced during a press conference at the construction site. The project is a renovation of the Samuel F. Carter building, which was acquired in 2009 by Pearl Hospitality. The hotel will include 323 rooms, a restaurant and bar, spa, health club, swimming pool and 10,000 square feet of meeting space.
NJ's West Windsor hotel plans $19 million upgrade
A $19 million hotel-wide project to upgrade the Hyatt Regency on Route 1 at Carnegie Center in Trenton, N.J., will be completed by July. The renovations will add more meeting space in the hotel and update guest rooms and dining areas, the release said.
